Matt Crawley is a Performance Manager & Research Lead at Sports Academy at The Star. He oversees all performance coaches to ensure quality in all aspects of human performance and staff education. Prior to joining the Sports Academy team, Matt served as a Strength & Conditioning Coach for the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Performance Institute for 4 years.
With over 13 years in the strength and conditioning industry, he brings experience with professional organizations, such as the UFC, NFL, NBA, NHL, WNBA, and NLL, as well as Olympic, tactical, collegiate, high school, and youth sectors.
Matt has been certified as a National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) Certified Strength and Conditioning Coach (CSCS) since 2011. In addition, he has presented at multiple national, regional, and state conferences for the NSCA and has been the author of peer-reviewed publications.
Matt holds double Master’s degrees in Human Health and Performance and Applied Nutrition and is currently working towards a Ph.D. in Leadership Studies: Health and Human Performance.
Matt lives in Frisco with his wife Katy. He loves spending time with his family, enjoying the great outdoors of the lone-star state, and spending time with his Samoyed, Shea.
